These Terms govern your use of the NeedThat iOS app and any related services we offer (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using NeedThat, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use NeedThat.
You must be at least eighteen years old to use NeedThat. You confirm this by entering your date of birth during onboarding. You may not use NeedThat if you are listed on any United States sanctions list, are not legally allowed to enter into binding contracts where you live, or have previously been removed from NeedThat for violating these Terms.
You sign in using Sign in with Apple or email. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You may not let anyone else use your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us via our contact form immediately.
You may only maintain one NeedThat account at a time.
NeedThat is an introduction platform. We expect people to use it honestly and in good faith. The full conduct expectations are in the Community Guidelines, but the short version: be honest about who you are, treat people with care, and don't use NeedThat for any purpose other than meeting people you'd genuinely like to know.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we find you have violated these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or if your behavior toward other users is harmful.
You retain ownership of the content you post on NeedThat — your bio, photos, voice greeting, vault answer, notes, and comments. By posting, you grant NeedThat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content within the Service, only for the purpose of operating NeedThat for you and the people you choose to share it with.
You are responsible for the content you post. You must own it or have the right to share it. You must not post anything that violates someone else's rights, that is illegal, that depicts anyone under eighteen, or that promotes harm.
When you propose a date and the other person accepts, Stripe may place a temporary hold on your payment method. The hold is released when both parties confirm the date took place, or when the date is cancelled per our policy. NeedThat does not store full payment card numbers — Stripe handles all payment processing.
You can choose to verify your identity using Stripe Identity. The verified badge signals to other users that you've completed verification. Verification is optional, not required. We absorb the cost and do not sell or share verification data.
NeedThat More is an optional auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple's StoreKit. Subscription terms, billing dates, and pricing are shown in the purchase confirmation sheet. You can manage or cancel through your Apple ID settings; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
You can stop using NeedThat at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or if we believe your account is being used to harm others. If we terminate your account, we will delete your data per the Privacy Policy.
We do everything we can to make NeedThat reliable and pleasant. But the Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee specific introductions, conversations, dates, or outcomes. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of NeedThat is limited to the amounts you've paid us in the past twelve months, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.
If you have a dispute with NeedThat, reach us first via our contact form. If we can't resolve it within thirty days, both parties agree to binding individual arbitration rather than going to court. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in any class action.
We may update these Terms. We'll tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
